1. 계정과 이용 대상1. Accounts and eligible users
1.1적용 범위와 처리 목적Scope and purposes
이 방침은 Charmsay 앱과 웹사이트의 개인정보 처리에 적용됩니다.This policy applies to personal information processed by the Charmsay app and website.
1.2회원 정보와 가입 상태Account information and signup status
가입·로그인과 계정 관리를 위해 이메일, 계정 식별번호, 로그인 방식, 이메일 확인 여부, 계정 생성·로그인 시각, 가입 상태·연령 확인·약관과 방침 확인 기록을 처리합니다. Google 로그인에는 이름과 프로필 사진 주소가 포함될 수 있습니다.For signup, sign-in, and account management, we process email, account identifiers, sign-in methods, email-verification status, account creation and sign-in times, membership status, age confirmation, and records of terms and policy acknowledgment. Google sign-in may include your name and profile image URL.
이메일은 이메일 확인과 비밀번호 재설정에도 사용합니다. 비밀번호는 Google 인증 서비스가 처리하며 Charmsay 회원 서버에 원문으로 전달하지 않습니다. 인증 제공자는 보안을 위해 접속 주소와 브라우저 정보도 처리합니다. 가입을 마치지 않은 계정도 보관 기준과 삭제 요청을 따릅니다.Email is also used for verification and password resets. Google’s authentication service handles passwords; plaintext passwords are not sent to the Charmsay membership server. The authentication provider also processes IP addresses and browser information for security. Accounts whose signup is incomplete also follow the retention rules and deletion procedures.
1.3만 14세 미만 이용자Users under 14
Charmsay는 대한민국의 만 14세 이상 이용자를 대상으로 합니다. 만 14세 미만의 정보가 등록된 사실을 알게 되면 privacy@charmsay.com으로 알려 주세요. 필요한 확인 후 계정과 정보를 삭제합니다.Charmsay is intended for people in South Korea aged 14 or older. If information about a child under 14 has been registered, contact privacy@charmsay.com. After necessary verification, the account and information will be removed.
2. 키보드·번역·음성2. Keyboard, translation, and speech
2.1키보드 접근Keyboard access
키보드는 입력과 후보 표시를 위해 현재 입력란과 주변 문맥에 접근합니다. 키보드로 입력하는 것만으로 그 내용이 Charmsay 서버에 전송되지는 않습니다.The keyboard accesses the current text field and nearby context for typing and suggestions. Typing alone does not send that content to Charmsay servers.
2.2번역 처리Translation
번역을 켜고 문장을 보내거나 줄을 끝내면 해당 문장과 최근 문맥, 언어·말투 설정을 Charmsay 서버와 외부 AI 번역 서비스에 전달합니다. 최근 문맥에는 이전 원문과 번역문이 포함될 수 있습니다. 번역 미리보기도 해당 문장을 전송합니다.When translation is enabled and you send a sentence or finish a line, the sentence, recent context, and language and tone settings are sent to Charmsay servers and an external AI translation service. Recent context may include earlier source text and translations. Translation previews also send the relevant text.
복사한 문장을 직접 번역할 때는 이전 대화 문맥을 보내지 않습니다. 번역과 발음 안내를 위해 생성된 번역문도 외부 서비스에서 처리할 수 있습니다. 번역 내용을 Charmsay 자체 모델 학습이나 광고에 사용하지 않습니다. 수신 업체와 처리 조건은 업체 안내, 국외 처리, 보관 기준에 모아 안내합니다.Manually translating copied text does not send earlier conversation context. Generated translations may also be processed externally for translation and pronunciation guidance. Charmsay does not use translation content to train its own models or for advertising. See providers, international processing, and retention for recipients and handling conditions.
번역은 OpenRouter를 통한 외부 AI 서비스를 기본으로 사용하며, 일부 번역 설정에서는 Google Cloud AI 서비스가 처리합니다. 현재 기본 번역 경로는 원문·번역문을 보관하거나 모델 학습에 사용하지 않는 처리 조건을 이용합니다. 요청·이용 정보의 처리는 콘텐츠 보관과 구분합니다.Translation uses an external AI service through OpenRouter by default; some translation settings use Google Cloud AI services. The current default translation route operates under terms that do not retain source text or translations or use them for model training. Handling of request and usage information is separate from content retention.
2.3음성 생성Speech generation
음성을 생성할 때 번역문 또는 재생할 문장을 서버와 외부 음성 생성 업체에 전달합니다. 출시용 음성 기능은 업체가 요청 문장과 생성 음성을 보관하지 않는 조건을 확인한 경우에만 제공합니다. 이 조건이 적용된 콘텐츠는 업체의 모델 학습에 사용되지 않습니다. 업체 정보는 업체 안내에서 확인할 수 있습니다.Speech generation sends the translation or text to be spoken to our servers and an external speech provider. Speech features for released versions are provided only after verifying that the provider does not retain request text or generated audio. Content covered by that condition is not used for the provider’s model training. See provider details.
2.4기기에 저장되는 정보On-device storage
북마크하거나 자동 저장한 원문·번역문·음성과 복습 정보는 기기에 저장됩니다. 자동 저장은 기본으로 꺼져 있으며 저장한 항목은 앱에서 삭제할 수 있습니다.Bookmarked or automatically saved source text, translations, audio, and review information are stored on your device. Automatic saving is off by default. Saved items can be deleted in the app.
저장 문장과 음성은 회원 계정으로 클라우드 동기화하지 않습니다. 음성이 없거나 재생에 실패해 다시 생성하면 저장된 번역문을 서버와 음성 생성 업체에 전달합니다. 계정 탈퇴로 기기 자료가 삭제되지는 않습니다.Saved phrases and audio are not synchronized to the cloud through your account. If audio is missing or fails to play, regenerating it sends the saved translation to our servers and the speech provider. Account deletion does not delete on-device data.
일부 앱 설정과 사용자 사전은 Android 백업에 포함될 수 있지만 저장 문장·음성은 자동 백업에서 제외합니다.Some app settings and the user dictionary may be included in Android backup; saved phrases and audio are excluded from automatic backup.
2.5클립보드Clipboard
복사한 텍스트·이미지의 표시와 붙여넣기를 위해 클립보드에 접근합니다. 이력 저장은 기본으로 꺼져 있습니다. 켜면 민감 표시된 항목도 기기에 저장될 수 있으며, 직접 삭제하거나 설정한 정리 기준을 적용할 수 있습니다.Charmsay accesses the clipboard to display and paste copied text and images. History is off by default. When enabled, items marked sensitive may also be stored on the device. You can delete items manually or apply your cleanup settings.
수동 백업에서 선택한 클립보드 자료는 내보낼 수 있습니다. 복사하거나 후보로 표시하는 것만으로 번역 서버에 보내지는 않습니다.You can export clipboard data selected in manual backup. Copying an item or displaying it as a suggestion does not by itself send it to a translation server.
2.6최근 스크린샷Recent screenshots
‘최근 스크린샷 제안’을 켜고 전체 사진 접근을 허용하면 최근 스크린샷을 붙여넣기 후보로 표시합니다. 기본으로 꺼져 있으며 클립보드 설정에서 끄거나 휴대전화 설정에서 권한을 해제할 수 있습니다. 거부해도 기본 키보드와 번역은 사용할 수 있습니다.Enabling recent screenshot suggestions and granting full photo access lets Charmsay display recent screenshots as paste suggestions. This is off by default. Disable it in clipboard settings or revoke permission in phone settings. Basic typing and translation remain available if you decline.
3. 이용 기록과 문의3. Usage records and support
3.1앱 이용 분석과 보안App analytics and security
앱 이용 통계를 위해 앱 버전·기기 정보·설치 식별정보·기본 이용 기록과 접속 주소에서 얻은 대략적인 위치를 처리합니다. 입력 문장·번역문·음성 대본과 입력 중인 앱의 식별자는 포함하지 않습니다. 광고 ID와 맞춤 광고 신호는 수집하지 않으며 분석 정보를 광고나 사용자 프로파일링에 사용하지 않습니다.Usage statistics process app version, device information, installation identifiers, basic usage records, and approximate location derived from IP addresses. Typed text, translations, speech scripts, and identifiers for the app being typed into are excluded. Advertising IDs and personalized-ad signals are not collected; analytics is not used for advertising or user profiling.
이용 분석은 기본으로 켜져 있습니다. ‘설정 → 개인정보’에서 끄면 새 이용 기록의 전송을 중단합니다. 기존 기록은 보관 기준을 따릅니다.Analytics is on by default. Turning it off in Settings → Privacy stops new usage-record transfers. Existing records follow the retention rules.
요청·계정 보안과 자동화된 악용 방지를 위해 앱·기기의 정상 여부를 확인하는 정보, 접속 주소·브라우저·접속 정보를 처리합니다.To protect requests and accounts and prevent automated abuse, we process information used to verify app and device integrity, IP addresses, and browser and connection information.
3.2웹 저장과 접속 정보Website storage and connection data
언어 선택과 로그인 유지에 필요한 정보를 브라우저에 저장합니다. 로그아웃하면 로그인 상태를 해제합니다. 브라우저 설정에서 사이트 데이터를 지울 수 있으며 지운 뒤에는 다시 로그인하거나 언어를 선택해야 할 수 있습니다.The browser stores information needed for language preferences and sign-in. Signing out clears the sign-in state. You can delete site data in browser settings; afterward you may need to sign in or choose a language again.
웹사이트에는 자체 광고·방문 분석 도구를 넣지 않습니다. 호스팅·인증·보안 제공자는 사이트 제공과 보안을 위해 접속 주소, 요청 시각·경로, 브라우저·네트워크 정보와 필요한 보안용 저장 정보를 처리할 수 있습니다.The website does not include our own advertising or visitor-analytics tools. Hosting, authentication, and security providers may process IP addresses, request times and paths, browser and network information, and necessary security storage to deliver and secure the site.
3.3베타 오류 진단Beta failure diagnostics
오류 원인 확인을 위해 앱 버전·오류 종류·처리 단계·응답 상태·소요시간을 기기에 기록합니다. 이 번역 오류 기록에는 대화 내용과 인증 정보를 넣지 않습니다. 앱 종료 오류의 세부 기록은 별도로 기기에 남을 수 있으며 보고서를 확인할 때 읽고 파일을 삭제합니다. 두 기록 모두 자동 전송하지 않습니다. 번역 오류 기록은 ‘설정 → 개인정보’에서 확인·복사·삭제할 수 있고, 보고서를 문의로 보내는 것은 이용자의 선택입니다.To investigate errors, we record app version, error type, processing stage, response status, and elapsed time on the device. These translation error records exclude conversation content and credentials. A crash may leave a separate error-detail file on the device; opening the report reads and removes it. Neither record is sent automatically. Translation error records can be viewed, copied, or deleted in Settings → Privacy. Sending a report to support is your choice.
선택 베타 진단에 동의하면 일부 번역 요청이 최종 실패했을 때 원문·최근 문맥·번역 서비스 응답·오류 및 요청 정보를 Charmsay 운영자에게 전송해 원인을 조사합니다. 기록은 이 앱 설치와 연결합니다. 현재 기본 번역에서는 원문 진단을 수집하지 않습니다.If you opt in to Beta diagnostics, final failures of some translation requests send source text, recent context, the translation service response, and error and request information to the Charmsay operator for investigation. Records are linked to this app installation. The current default translation does not collect source-text diagnostics.
거절하거나 ‘설정 → 개인정보’에서 철회해도 번역은 계속 사용할 수 있습니다. 철회하면 새 전송을 중단하고 기존 기록 삭제를 시작하며 실패하면 다시 시도합니다. 기록별 기간은 보관 기준에서 안내합니다.Translation remains available if you decline or withdraw in Settings → Privacy. Withdrawal stops new transfers and starts deletion of existing records; failed deletion is retried. See retention periods for each record type.
3.4피드백과 이메일 문의Feedback and email support
의견 보내기는 Google 로그인이 필요하며 의견 유형·상황 설명·선택 답변을 받습니다. 스크린샷 첨부는 선택이고 첨부해 제출하면 Google의 안내에 따라 계정 정보가 기록될 수 있습니다. 앱 정보나 입력 문장을 자동 첨부하지 않습니다.Feedback requires Google sign-in and collects feedback type, a description, and optional answers. Screenshots are optional; attaching a file and submitting may record account information as explained by Google. App information and typed text are not attached automatically.
이메일 문의에는 보내신 이름·이메일, 문의·첨부·답변 기록이 포함됩니다. 문의 처리를 위해 필요한 계정·앱·기기 정보와 오류 정보, 답변·조치 기록을 지원 기록으로 보관할 수 있으며 권한이 있는 운영자만 열람합니다. 폼·이메일 원본과 지원 기록의 기간은 보관 기준에서 구분합니다. 문의에는 필요한 상황만 설명하고, 제출 전 제외할 정보는 문의 안내를 확인해 주세요.Email inquiries include the name and email you provide and inquiry, attachment, and response records. Necessary account, app, device, and error information and response and action records may be retained as support records, accessible only to authorized operators. Retention rules distinguish original forms, email, and support records. Describe only the situation needed for your inquiry, and check the contact guidance for information to exclude before submitting.

4.3국외 이전International transfers
해당 온라인 기능 사용·로그인·웹 접속·피드백 제출 시 필요한 정보를 암호화하여 외부 업체에 전송하며, 국외 처리나 국외에서의 접근이 포함될 수 있습니다. 수신 법인·업무·연락처는 업체표, 항목과 국가·기간은 아래에서 안내합니다.Necessary information is encrypted and sent to providers when you use online features, sign in, visit the website, or submit feedback. 4.4안전성 확보 조치Security
전송 구간을 암호화하고 개인정보 접근을 필요한 범위로 제한합니다. 계정 작업에는 본인 확인과 접근 권한 검사를 적용합니다. 일반 서버 로그에는 번역 원문·번역문과 입력 중인 앱의 식별자를 기록하지 않습니다. 선택 진단·문의 기록은 위에서 안내한 조건을 따릅니다.We encrypt data in transit and limit access to personal information as needed. Account operations use identity verification and access controls. Ordinary server logs exclude source text, translations, and identifiers for the app being typed into. Optional diagnostics and support records follow the conditions described above.

5.1권리와 삭제 요청Your rights and deletion requests
앱의 계정 관리·탈퇴 메뉴 또는 웹 계정 화면에서 로그인한 뒤 계정 삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다. 가입을 마치지 않은 계정도 취소할 수 있습니다. 창을 닫거나 로그아웃하거나 앱을 삭제하는 것만으로 서버 계정이 삭제되지는 않습니다.Sign in and request account deletion through the app’s account-management/deletion menu or the web account page. Incomplete signups can also be cancelled. Closing the window, signing out, or uninstalling alone does not delete the server account.
기기 문장·음성은 앱에서 따로 삭제합니다. 이용 분석 끄기와 베타 진단 철회·삭제 요청은 ‘설정 → 개인정보’에서 할 수 있습니다.Delete on-device phrases and audio separately in the app. Disable analytics or withdraw Beta diagnostic consent and request deletion in Settings → Privacy.
